Resolved Question: Do I need a permit to have my business in my garage?

I have a small dental lab and would like to set up my garage (in Ventura County, California) as the lab. It won't affect traffic or make noise for my neighbors. Do I need a permit? My house is located on a main street, near businesses, but is in a residential area. I need special equipment, but no customers would be coming to the lab. Thanks Thanks for the condescending answer. No, it's not Tijuana. And the lab doesn't do tests on anything. I guess the term "lab" is misleading. It's a place where crowns, implants, partials, etc. are made.
